Tuesday Apr 02, 2019
Tuesday Apr 02, 2019
Hello!
You made it to Episode 7, Well done!
In this episode we chat to the lovely Danny Mills outside a pub in sunny Harrogate. For those who don’t know, Danny is an ex footballer, he played for England, Man City, Middlesbrough and more importantly (Dean told me to write that) Leeds!
We’ve split this chat up into two episodes as there’s lots of it.
So in this, part 1, he talks to us about his marathons, being a family man and life after playing professional football.

Episode 8: Manchester Marathon Special!
Tuesday Apr 09, 2019
Tuesday Apr 09, 2019
Hiya!
A bit of a different episode for you this week.
On Sunday 7th April we were at mile 16 of the Manchester Marathon 2019!
Gary was DJ’ing pumping out big tunes and good vibes and Dean was dressed as Spider-Man heckling the runners. Standard Behind The Medal behaviour!
We chat to a few people on race day including an appearance from Scott Cunliffe (episode 4 hero) and we also chat to Callum Rowlinson, who ran the race, to find out how he got on!
Get in touch if you ran it, let us know about your day on Twitter @BehindTheMedal

In this final episode of our chat with Danny, he talks to us a bit more about his footballing career and how life is nowadays in the hugely competitive Mills household! We also hear Danny's really interesting thoughts about the representation of gender in sport shown in the media these days.
